Job Description: Sales Coordinator
Position Summary
The Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the field sales team by managing operational tasks, coordinating with external service providers, assisting in the appointment and onboarding of field sales staff, and ensuring that product knowledge is effectively communicated. This role enables the sales force to perform efficiently and helps maintain smooth sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support to Field Sales Staff
Provide administrative and logistical support to field sales staff, including preparing sales materials, proposals, presentations, and quotations.
Coordinate daily schedules, customer visits, and route planning for the field team.
Track sales leads, follow-ups, and opportunity progress to support field staff in closing deals.
Ensure timely communication of updates, promotions, and product changes to the field team.
Assist in organizing field activities, product demonstrations, roadshows, and sales campaigns.
Coordination With Service Providers
Act as the central liaison between the company and third-party service providers such as logistics partners, distributors, field support teams, marketing agencies, or technical service contractors.
Ensure service providers are aligned with sales requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
Monitor service provider performance, escalate issues when needed, and follow up on timely resolution of operational challenges.
Manage documentation, contracts, and SLAs related to external partners.
Appointment & Onboarding of Field Sales Staff
Support HR and sales leadership in the recruitment, appointment, and onboarding of field sales personnel.
Coordinate scheduling of interviews, screening of candidates, and preparation of hiring documentation.
Assist in the setup of field staff tools and resources (e.g., devices, uniforms, materials, system access).
Organize orientation sessions and ensure new sales staff understand workflows, reporting procedures, and sales processes.
Product Knowledge & Training Support
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, features, pricing, and value propositions.
Prepare and distribute product guides, updates, training materials, and FAQs for field sales staff.
Assist in coordinating product training sessions, workshops, and refresher courses.
Support sales staff in addressing customer inquiries by providing accurate product information.
Sales Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales documentation, contracts, and customer databases.
Prepare and distribute sales reports, performance summaries, and forecasting data.
Coordinate product availability and delivery schedules with warehouse and logistics teams.
Assist in processing sales orders, invoices, and after-sales service requests.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Experience in sales coordination, customer service, or field sales support is an advantage.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
