Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer (2+ years experience) is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and programs for PEB construction sites. The role ensures that all site activities comply with national safety regulations, company standards, and client requirements. The Safety Officer actively works to prevent accidents, promote safe work practices, and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Safety Management

* Conduct daily site inspections for PEB erection activities including structural assembly, welding, lifting operations, working at heights, and hot work.

* Identify unsafe conditions/acts and implement corrective and preventive actions

* Ensure workers wear appropriate PPE and follow safe work procedures.

2. Compliance & Documentation

* Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and standards (OSHA, company HSE policy).

* Maintain updated records of equipment certificates such as cranes, lifting tools, scaffolding, and harnesses.

3. Training & Awareness

* Conduct Safety Induction for new workers and subcontractors.

* Deliver regular Toolbox Talks focused on PEB-specific risks (e.g., high-level bolt tightening, panel installation, crane movement).

* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure workers understand safe work practices.

4. Incident Prevention & Investigation

* Monitor high-risk operations such as lifting, working at height, and installation of PEB frames.

* Lead incident/near-miss investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.

* Take immediate action in case of emergency or unsafe behaviour.

5. Coordination & Communication

* Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Subcontractors, and Clients regarding safety issues.

* Attend safety meetings and present safety performance updates.

* Support emergency response planning, drills, and evacuation procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Diploma/Degree in Engineering or relevant field (preferred).

* Minimum 2–5 years experience as a Safety Officer in PEB erection or construction industry.

* Strong knowledge of lifting operations, scaffolding standards, fall protection systems, and hot work safety.

* Good communication skills, leadership qualities, and incident-handling capability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
