Job Purpose
To ensure a safe working environment across the yard and warehouse by implementing safety protocols, conducting audits, and driving awareness among staff and vendors. The role is critical in minimizing risk, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a safety-first culture in high-movement zones.
Your Responsibilities Would be:
Safety Oversight & Risk Mitigation
- Conduct daily safety inspections across yard, warehouse, and vehicle zones
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions proactively
- Monitor vehicle movement and ensure safe parking, loading, and dispatch practices
- Ensure PPE compliance for all staff and visitors
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain records of safety audits, incident reports, and corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to Customers and APMT’ safety standards and statutory regulations (Factories Act, Fire Safety, etc.)
- Prepare and submit monthly safety MIS and compliance dashboards
Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety inductions for new joiners, drivers, and vendor staff
- Organize mock drills (fire, chemical spill, evacuation) and toolbox talks
- Promote safety culture through posters, briefings, and feedback sessions
Coordination & Incident Management
- Liaise with admin, warehouse, and security teams to ensure safety SOPs are followed
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for any safety breach
- Coordinate with external agencies (fire department, medical support) when required
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Graduate with Diploma in Industrial Safety / NEBOSH / Fire & Safety
Experience:
3–5 years in safety roles within automotive, logistics, or manufacturing
Technical Skills:
Safety audit tools, incident reporting systems, MS Excel
Soft Skills:
Vigilant, assertive, clear communicator
Other:
Familiarity with vehicle yard dynamics and export logistics safety preferred
