Job Description

The role combines retail business development with comprehensive MIS and analytics responsibilities, ensuring data-driven decision-making, financial feasibility, and efficient project execution for new store launches. The incumbent will be responsible for market evaluation, benchmarking competition, financial analysis, documentation, and building automated reporting systems to accelerate retail expansion.


Key Deliverables

• Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking Analyse competing retail stores and brands across key performance metrics including rent-torevenue, productivity, and footfall benchmarks. Build intelligence dashboards for leadership visibility.

• Market Evaluation Evaluate new catchments and markets through data-led frameworks. Assess market size, demographic profiles, and sales potential and prepare detailed retail opportunity reports.

• Financial Feasibility & Reporting Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies including P&L projections, ROI analysis, and break-even models for new/existing stores. Support management in decision-making with data-backed commercial insights.

• Documentation & Legal Closure Coordinate and ensure timely closure of all store-level documentation, legal due diligence, and agreements, maintaining compliance with organizational standards.

• MIS Reporting & Data Management Own the leasing MIS framework by developing automated, accurate, and real-time dashboards. Ensure consistency of data reporting and analytics across functions.

• Project Management Monitor project timelines from site sign-off to store launch. Drive coordination across cross-functional teams (projects, design, operations, finance) to ensure targets are met within defined timelines.


Desired Candidate Profile

• 3–8 years of experience in retail business development, MIS, or expansion planning.

• Strong exposure to market research, competitive benchmarking, and catchment analysis.

• Experience in financial modelling, feasibility reports, and ROI projections related to retail or allied sectors.

• Knowledge of legal documentation, lease agreements, and compliance processes.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS/report automation tools; comfort with analytics or BI platforms is an added advantage.

• Excellent project management and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.

• Educational background: MBA/PGDM in Retail, Marketing, Finance, or related fields preferre
