Job Description: Relationship Manager - Micro Mortgages

The Relationship Manager - Micro Mortgages is responsible for managing the end-to-end sales and service of micro-mortgage loans. This role involves generating new business, building and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring a smooth and efficient loan process for clients in the microfinance or low-income housing segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Actively identify and acquire new customers for micro-mortgage products. This includes lead generation through local networking, community engagement, and referrals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients. Act as the primary point of contact, providing guidance and support throughout the loan application, approval, and disbursement process.
  • Loan Origination & Processing: Guide clients through the micro-mortgage application process, assisting with documentation, eligibility checks, and credit assessments. Ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment: Conduct initial due diligence and financial analysis of loan applicants. Evaluate their creditworthiness and ability to repay, and prepare loan proposals for review by the credit team.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activities, and changes in the microfinance and housing sectors. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Meet and exceed assigned sales targets for loan disbursement and customer acquisition.
  • Customer Service: Address customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally, providing excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience in sales, relationship management, or business development, preferably in the microfinance , banking, or housing finance sectors.
  • Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of micro-mortgages, loan products, and the specific challenges and needs of low-income borrowers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse client groups.
  • Sales Acumen: A track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Analytical Skills: Basic financial analysis and credit assessment capabilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
