Job Summary:

The role is responsible to spearhead sales and distribution strategies within your designated region. Your expertise in team leadership, channel management, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) will play a vital role in driving growth and expanding the reach of our payments bank business.


Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Strategy and Execution:

o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive payments bank business growth in the region.

• Team Leadership and Development:

o Recruit, train, and lead a team of Sales Officers (SO), Area Sales Managers (ASM), Senior ASMs, and Cluster Heads.

o Set clear action plans, motivate the team, and review performance regularly to ensure sales targets and KPIs are met.

• Channel Partner and Merchant Management:

o Manage and strengthen relationships with bank channel partners to drive turnover and growth.

o Oversee the onboarding of retailers and merchants, especially for QR services.

• Transaction Monitoring and Engagement:

o Monitor throughput and transaction activities to maintain an active user base.

o Resolve queries and drive business growth by engaging retailers and merchants.

• KPI Achievement:

o Ensure the achievement of KPIs, including new savings accounts, AEPS cash withdrawals, Micro-ATM transactions, money transfers, financial services sales, mobile and DTH recharges, and Fast Tag sales.

• Cash Management:

o Oversee cash management services provided by partners, ensuring smooth operations.

• Distribution Expansion:

o Expand distribution in weak and rural geographies by appointing new distributors to increase market coverage.

• Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

o Conduct daily market visits to identify low-performing areas, weak geographies, and competitor activities.

o Leverage market insights to develop strategies that capitalize on business opportunities.

• Relationship Building:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers to facilitate sales activities and ensure sustained business growth.


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree; Postgraduate or Master’s degree preferred.

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in the FinTech industry, with a proven track record of driving sales and achieving KPIs.

• Strong leadership skills, including team building, development, coaching, and managing performance.

• Proficiency in market analysis, channel appointment and management, and retail sales strategies.


Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience (10-15 years) in Sales and Marketing roles, preferably within the FinTech industry.

• Proven ability to drive channel sales and lead teams to achieve ambitious targets.

• Significant role in expanding business footprints and driving revenue growth as a Regional Sales Manager or equivalent.

• Ability to adapt to changes and work effectively in new markets and with diverse stakeholders.

• Experience in inventory monitoring, channel ROI profitability analysis, competition tracking, and distribution expansion.

• Extensive regional travel capability and readiness.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships and drive collaboration.
