Job Description

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement regional sales plans in line with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of Area Sales Managers and Territory Sales Executives.
  • Conduct regular team reviews, provide coaching, and facilitate training sessions.
  • Set individual and team KPIs and ensure consistent performance improvement.

Channel & Distribution Management

  • Manage relationships with key distributors, dealers, and retail partners.
  • Ensure efficient stock movement, secondary sales, and distributor ROI.
  • Resolve channel conflicts and optimise coverage across the region.

Market Development

  • Identify new markets, retailers, and expansion opportunities.
  • Plan and execute trade promotions, product launches, and visibility campaigns.
  • Ensure brand presence and compliance with marketing guidelines.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor and report on sales metrics, market share, and competitor intelligence.
  • Use CRM and sales dashboards to track performance and take corrective action.
  • Present regular performance reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in regional sales, preferably in FMCG/retail/distribution.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and CRM software.
