Regional Credit Manager

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading a team of Credit Managers, ensuring the building of a quality portfolio and effectively managing delinquency. You will need to understand and align the team with key performance indicators (KPIs) and management goals to drive them towards targets. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure that the credit team exercises their delegation authority diligently within the policy framework. - Set up and monitor processes related to policy and timely decision-making on all applications. - Ensure that all loan applications are processed efficiently, accurately, and within defined turn-around time (TAT) with high service standards. - Monitor portfolio hygiene and take corrective actions as necessary. - Coordinate and conduct training for Credit Managers on credit scrutiny, policy changes, regulatory requirements, and process adherence. - Liaise with industry peers and financial institutions to understand market behavior. - Proactively look for best practices across industries and adapt them to your context. - Regularly interact with stakeholders, including the Business Team, to ensure smooth delivery of objectives. - Manage vendors, such as CPA vendors and in-house CPAs, by providing regular training and feedback for quality improvement. - Ensure audit and regulatory compliance, focusing on credit quality and monitoring teams" credit authority delegation. - Share regular feedback with the policy team. Qualifications Required: - Minimum Qualifications: Postgraduate in a regular stream or CA professionals with 10+ years of experience. - Professional Certifications: Any additional certifications or analytical skills related would be an added advantage. - Language Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written in English, with good negotiation abilities. - Experience: Postgraduate/MBA or CA with over 7-8 years of experience in credit risk management and underwriting, specifically in SME loans with team handling experience.,
