Job Description

Role Overview:

Regional Credit Manager

The Regional Credit Manager represents the Credit & OTC function in monthly forums with senior stakeholders, provides key updates, and drives both short- and long-term priorities for the region. As a people leader, the role is responsible for hiring, succession planning, goal setting, capability development, and performance assessments. In addition, the role acts as an approver for write-offs, payment terms, and credit limits within the region or cluster.

As an individual contributor for specific markets, the role ensures the effective and high-quality execution of Credit and Collections processes, working across Finance, Commercial, and Legal teams to achieve target DSO and strengthen credit governance. Responsibilities include improving credit risk strategy, minimizing bad-debt exposure, monitoring credit limits, ensuring effective blocked-order management, and driving continuous improvement in systems, SOPs, and processes. The role also includes direct engagement with key customers, including site visits when required.

  • Manage execution of global credit management activities and financial controls.
  • Minimize DSO, ageing, and debt write-offs through proactive governance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Order Management to resolve disputes and improve end-to-end processes.

Credit Risk Control & Policy Management

  • Manage customer credit limits in accordance with the Delegation of Authority Matrix; ensure proactive monitoring of credit headroom to reduce blocked orders.
  • Define Business Unit rules for order releases and ensure compliance; embed rules into system workflows or design manual workflows as needed.
  • Establish governance for dispute resolution, payment plans, legal escalations, and write-offs.
  • Ensure effective reporting for monitoring creditworthiness (AR ageing, credit limit exposure, etc.) and take action where needed.
  • Review and approve SOPs for credit and collections operations.

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for Credit & Collections processes.
  • Mentor and train team members on market specifics and local collection strategies.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures supporting timely payments while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and propose solutions.
  • Demonstrated success across the Order-to-Cash cycle.
