Position Overview:

The Associate – Culture (Recruitment) will be out in the field, finding and bringing in blue-collar frontline delivery & sales champions for our retail vertical. This is fast-paced, high-volume hiring where you hit targets without lowering the bar. Every hire must carry the sales spark, a customer-first attitude, and the team spirit to thrive in our culture.


Key Responsibilities


1. Field Sourcing & Talent Hunting

● Hit the streets, source delivery & sales staff directly from hotspots – local markets, job fairs, community centers, and referral networks.

● Use local word-of-mouth, area leaders, panchayats, and small business owners to spread the word.

● Leverage WhatsApp groups, community boards, job fairs, and walk-ins to build a strong talent pool.


2. Screening & Selection

● Do quick but sharp telephonic and face-to-face interviews – assess sales push, communication ability, and job readiness.

● Pick people who can talk to customers and sell, not just deliver.

● Always balance speed with quality - no compromise hires even under target pressure.


3. Onboarding & Documentation

● Get documents sorted — ID proof, address proof, bank details — without slowing the process.

● Coordinate background checks and ensure candidates are ready to hit the ground quickly.


4. Target Achievement & Reporting

● Hit weekly and monthly hiring numbers — no excuses.

● Maintain trackers, update dashboards, and share daily/weekly status with leadership.


5. Collaboration & Engagement

● Partner with the Senior Manager, Product to stay aligned on hiring needs.

● Maintain regular touchpoints with delivery staff to boost revenues and improve retention.


Education

● MBA in Human Resource Management (mandatory).


Experience

● 3–5 years of proven blue-collar hiring experience in retail, logistics, F&B, or similar fast-moving, high-volume environments.

● Experience in sales-focused recruitment preferred.

● Strong track record of closing bulk hiring within tight timelines.


Skills

● Street-smart sourcing - know where to find the right people, fast.

● Target-driven and deadline-focused.

● Hustler mindset - proactive, persistent, proactive, and willing to get hands dirty in the field.

● Fluent in English & Tamil; working knowledge of Hindi is preferred.

● Can identify natural salespeople from a short interaction.

● Good at using local influence, community events, and digital platforms for sourcing.

● Strong negotiation and quick closing skills.

● Proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, documentation tools, Google Sheets, and recruitment tool proficiency.
