Quantitative Risk Strategy Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious professional to join our team as a Risk Strategy Analyst. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape and advance the risk management paradigm of our international financing business. You will not only design and deploy data-driven credit and risk strategies, but also enjoy the freedom to explore new methodologies, experiment with emerging ideas, and push the boundaries of how risk is measured and managed. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and continuously iterate risk strategies across the customer lifecycle - from origination through ongoing monitoring - ensuring alignment with the company’s performance standards and risk appetite 
• Introduce and integrate alternative data sources, conduct data-driven risk factor discovery, and derive analytical indicators to enhance risk assessment. 
• Design and optimise risk models, scoring frameworks, and monitoring mechanisms to effectively identify, assess, and mitigate risks. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, product, tech, compliance) to translate insights into actionable strategies that balance growth and risk control. 
• Provide thought leadership in developing innovative risk paradigms to ensure the sustainable, compliant, and scalable growth of our international business. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a quantitative or financial discipline (e.g., Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields). 
• Strong computational and analytical skills, with hands-on experience in SQL, Python or other data analysis tools, and proven ability to work with complex datasets. 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk strategy, modelling, or analytics within fintech or banking. 
• Knowledge of Trade Finance and/or E-commerce financing is a strong advantage. 
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail. 
• Passion for learning, curiosity for new ideas, and the ambition to co-create innovative risk paradigms that balance business growth with sound risk management.
