Job Description

Position Overview

The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality standards, procedures, and systems to ensure that all sanitaryware and bathroom fittings meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and company quality objectives. This role involves managing the quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring product reliability and durability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Strategy & System Implementation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO, BIS, and other relevant quality standards.
  • Establish and manage quality assurance processes, testing protocols, and inspection methods.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international sanitaryware product standards.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

  • Oversee incoming raw materials inspection (ceramic, brass, stainless steel, rubber, plastic, etc.).
  • Supervise in-process and final product inspection for faucets, sanitaryware, and bathroom fittings.
  • Monitor performance tests (pressure test, flow rate, surface finish, leak test, durability test, etc.).
  • Ensure packaging quality and safety before dispatch.

3. Process & Production Quality

  • Identify and address process deviations during casting, moulding, machining, plating, polishing, and assembly stages.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and improve product design.
  • Implement SPC (Statistical Process Control) and root cause analysis tools.

4. Supplier Quality Management

  • Audit and qualify suppliers/vendors for raw materials and components.
  • Drive supplier quality improvement programs and corrective actions.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs for consistency in quality standards.

5. Customer Quality Assurance

  • Handle customer complaints, warranty claims, and field feedback.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring zero-defect supplies.

6. Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead a team of QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians.
  • Provide training on quality standards, testing methods, and inspection techniques.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain quality manuals, SOPs, inspection reports, and test certificates.
  • Prepare MIS reports on defects, rejections, and corrective actions.
  • Support audits by certification bodies, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
