IT Technician India Pune Site (Local IT Liaison, Global IT Team) Position Summary: We are seeking an IT Technician to serve as the local IT representative at our site in Pune,India acting as the primary liaison between the local team and the global IT department of our international group. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support, ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, and facilitate communication and implementation of global IT policies and projects at the local level. A good understanding of Indian digital regulatory frameworks, including the Cybersecurity Law (CSL), Data Security Law (DSL), and Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), is essential. Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site technical Support for hardware, software, and network issues to local users, escalating complex problems to the global IT team as needed. Act as the main point of contact for IT-related matters at the Pune site, ensuring alignment with global IT standards and procedures. Coordinate and implement IT Projects, upgrades, and rollouts in collaboration with the global IT team. Maintain and troubleshoot end-user devices, servers, and network infrastructure in accordance with company security and compliance requirements. Support onboarding and offboarding processes for local staff, including account setup and hardware provisioning. Monitor and report on local IT incidents, service requests, and system performance, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs. Ensure local IT operations comply with Indian regulatory requirements, including the CSL, DSL, and PIPL, particularly regarding data protection, cybersecurity, and data localization obligations. Assist with the localization and deployment of global IT policies, procedures, and security frameworks at the site. Act as a local first responder for cybersecurity incidents, assisting in triage, containment, and coordination with the global security team Provide basic training and documentation to end-users on IT best practices and tools, including raising awareness of security obligations. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for local IT procurement and maintenance. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 1+ years of experience in IT support or technical support roles, ideally in an international or multicultural environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments, networking, and end-user support. Strong communication skills in English; and Marathi is a significant advantage. Knowledge of Indian digital regulatory frameworks, including CSL, DSL, and PIPL, and ability to ensure IT operations are compliant with these laws Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with remote/global teams.
