15 years full time educationSummary: We are seeking experienced Domain Testers with deep expertise in SWIFT Payments (MT and MX message formats) and SEPA payments to join our growing quality assurance team. The role involves manual testing of critical financial systems, validating message formats, compliance, processing logic, and end-to-end payment flows. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge in the payments domain, hands-on experience in functional testing, and a solid understanding of global and regional payment standards, particularly within the EU financial ecosystem Roles & Responsibilities: - Execute functional testing of payment systems focusing on: - SWIFT MT and MX message formats (e.g., MT103, MT202, pacs.008, pacs.004) - SEPA payments including SCT (SEPA Credit Transfer) and SDD (SEPA Direct Debit) - Validate message formatting, data integrity, and compliance with ISO 20022 standards. - Analyze and verify end-to-end payment processing workflows from initiation to settlement. - Collaborate with BA, development, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios. - Document and report defects clearly and track them through resolution. - Participate in functional reviews, walkthroughs, and defect triages. - Support UAT and SIT phases with domain-specific insights. - Provide knowledge sharing and mentoring for junior testers on domain-related topics. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Payments Fundamentals, Automated Testing, Selenium. - Experience with test automation frameworks and tools. - Strong domain expertise in payments – particularly in SWIFT (MT & MX) and SEPA. - Experience working with ISO 20022, cross-border payments, and financial messaging systems. - 5+ years of experience in manual testing within the banking or financial services domain. - Hands-on experience with test case design, execution, and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, etc.) - Ability to interpret and validate structured message formats (XML for MX, flat files for MT). - Exposure to EU payment regulations and compliance standards is an advantage. - Excellent analytical and documentation skills. - Ability to work in an agile environment and interface with cross-functional teams. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle and quality assurance processes. - Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective test cases. - Familiarity with performance testing and security testing methodologies. - Familiarity with payment processing platforms like T24, Finastra, FIS, etc. - Exposure to real-time payments, RTGS systems. - Understanding of reconciliation processes and settlement systems. - Knowledge of message simulators and test data preparation tools. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Payments Fundamentals. - This position is based at our Gurugram client office. The candidate should work from client office 3 days/week - This role is strictly hands-on testing with a focus on domain expertise - A 15 years full time education is required.
