Job Description

Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, standards, and metrics.
Design and execute test cases (manual & automated) to ensure product quality.
Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective & preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
Partner with development, operations, and product teams to integrate quality practices into the lifecycle.
Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and automation frameworks.
Conduct audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
Monitor KPIs to assess product and process quality performance.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, or similar).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks.
Solid understanding of defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering.
Experience in both manual and automation testing.
Knowledge of coding/scripting (Java, Python, or similar) is a plus.
Exposure to performance, security, or API testing is desirable.
