Extinct Fire Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is a trusted name in the fire safety industry, delivering cutting-edge fire protection systems and solutions for commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. We are currently expanding our project team and looking for a Quality Engineer with expertise in fire safety systems, piping, and welding inspections.

Role Summary:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of fire protection piping systems, including all welding and installation activities, in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality inspections on firefighting piping systems, materials, and installations as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct welding inspections, including verification of WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and WPQ (Welder Performance Qualification).
  • Monitor site work to ensure all installations comply with NFPA, IS codes, and project standards.
  • Review welding documentation, material test certificates, inspection reports, and maintain QA/QC records.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Support hydrostatic testing, system flushing, and commissioning inspections.
  • Prepare and close QA/QC checklists and generate punch lists for corrective action.
  • Assist in third-party inspections and regulatory audits as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in QA/QC for fire fighting systems, piping, or MEP projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in WPS, WPQ, welding inspection, and NDT basics.
  • Familiar with fire protection systems (hydrant, sprinkler, pump room, etc.).
  • Understanding of international codes like NFPA, IS, ASME, etc.
  • Strong interpretation of P&ID, isometrics, and MEP coordination drawings.
  • Certifications (preferred): QA/QC, or NDT Level II.
