Quality Assurance Lead

What You'll Do

• Execute manual and automated tests for web, mobile, and REST API applications.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and non-functional testing to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop automated test suites to accelerate validation and reduce release cycles in an agile environment
• Assess release readiness, ensuring on-time delivery with the highest standards of quality.
• Provide testing support during production deployments, maintenance windows, and urgent issue investigations.
• Partner with Development, Product, Operations, and Design teams to ensure QA coverage and timely turnaround of deliverables.
• Attend planning meetings, provide input on user stories, and create clear acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and propose long-term solutions.
• Contribute tools, frameworks, and process improvements to strengthen QA across the organization.
• Gather insights from Customer Service and user feedback channels to refine test approaches and ensure real-world reliability.
  

What You Bring

• 3-5+ years of professional QA experience in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA best practices.
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API applications.
• Familiarity with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for data validation and backend testing is a plus.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools that can be applied to both user-facing products and APIs alike (e.g., Selenium, Protractor, Behat, Python, PHP, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java, C#, etc.).
• Comfortable testing across platforms (Windows, Linux, Web) and browsers, with understanding of key differences.
• Exposure to performance testing (e.g., JMeter) and API testing (e.g., Postman).
• Familiarity with security and penetration testing tools (Linux Kali, OWASP, AUCENTIX) is a plus.
• Proven ability to create, present, and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and user guides.
• Experience incorporating customer feedback and service team insights into QA strategies.
  

• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, and relational databases.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test frameworks.
• Working knowledge of markup/scripting languages for test case design and validation. (HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, Python, Bash, ASP, C++, C#, Java, and .NET etc.)
  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; proactive in identifying root causes and solutions.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate across teams.
