Join our Project Management Office in Chennai/Gurgaon

We are a renowned engineering consulting firm, focused on delivering high-quality results in project execution through effective project and contracts management, quality assurance, document control, risk assessment, and project controlling. In this position, you will be part of our global team of experts and work closely with project managers in delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects. Your tasks will include effective implementation of Project and Quality Management procedures according to COWI's Quality Management systems. You will support project managers of projects anchored across COWI globally including India.  This role reports to the Head of PMO in India.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Support PMs in the implementation of quality management plans of COWI across projects.
• Ensure full adherence to quality plans through regular monitoring and compliance checks.
• Support and oversee document quality assurance activities, including folder structure, checklists, and process compliance.
• Act as a key interface between Quality Assurance and other project management support functions.
• Support Project Managers in Project start up activities, including project handover, project management plan, preparation of project check lists, time schedule, document control plan, risk log, etc.
• Support Project Managers in regular project monitoring activities including update of resource forecasts, budget control, risk logs, time schedule, etc.
• Assist in preparing presentations, status summary, progress reporting, change logs and inputs for variation orders.

You have a Bachelors/Master’s degree in civil/electrical/mechanical engineering or a related discipline with at least 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management roles with Consulting/EPC Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Buildings or Renewable Energy projects.

Moreover, you have: 

• Skills to set up and lead project quality management systems.
• Experience with quality compliance frameworks, document QA workflows, and audit processes.
• Proficient organizational and communication skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Exposure to Project management principles, including scheduling, budget control, time schedules, document control, contract management, etc.
• A detail-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
