QA / QC Executive

Job Title: QA/QC ExecutiveLocation: Bhosari, Pune, Maharashtra Company: Fix Yantra Engineering (ISO 9001:2015 Certified) Industry: Precision Engineering | Jigs & Fixtures | Automation Components Role Overview:The QA/QC Executive will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the manufacturing cycle. This includes ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, customer specifications, and internal quality protocols. The role requires strong technical knowledge of precision machining and inspection processes, including CMM and PolyWorks software. Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance:Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QA processes as per ISO 9001:2015. Prepare and update Quality Manuals, SOPs, Control Plans, and Checklists. Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection audits. Ensure proper documentation of quality records for traceability and compliance. Coordinate customer quality audits and facilitate NCR (Non-Conformance Report) closure. Quality Control:Perform dimensional inspection of precision components using CMM, Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc. Operate and generate inspection reports using PolyWorks CMM software. Verify thread, chamfer, surface finish, and hardness as per drawings/specifications. Monitor adherence to tolerance requirements for BIW fixtures, jigs, and automation parts. Ensure calibration of measuring instruments as per schedule. Process & Improvement:Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reducing rework and rejection. Collaborate with the Design & Project Engineering Team for DFM and quality feedback. Required Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Hands-on experience in CMM operation and PolyWorks software. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 documentation and quality tools (5 Why, Fishbone, Poka-Yoke, etc.). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good communication and reporting skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation. Qualifications:Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering. 2–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control in a precision machining or fixture manufacturing environment. Certification in ISO 9001:2015 or quality management systems preferred.
