Skills/Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To Perform sheet metal /structure design, design verification (capable to do complex design in Creo). Create Conceptual designs and verify, finalize the concepts applying engineering analytics to decisions. Perform mechanical packaging / Integration of Electrical and power electronics products used in Construction / mining vehicles. Perform clearance / creepage calculations, Thermal management of entire electrical system. Strong knowledge of structural / sheet metal material and techno commercial knowledge for various material and process. Strong knowledge of Static / Dynamic/ CFD / Thermal Analysis and ability to comprehend and apply analysis results into design solutions. Strong ability to understand end to end material process for structural components. Strong understanding of Sheetmetal manufacturing and DfM. Actively support a prototype, pilot, or production build and perform audit. Perform bolted joint analysis & Creo simulate or equivalent FEA analysis. Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes and Machine Bill of Material (BOM). Performs design calculations and accountable for design decisions. Conduct design reviews, Review engineering model, drawings and provide inputs to designers. Research and develop new technology around Electro-Mechanical domain and Power Electronics components. Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units Collaborate effectively with the internal/global team members to achieve project targets. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Relevant work experience: 10 - 15 years with bachelor's degree or 8 - 12 years with master's degree. Candidates with strong experience working on Electro-mechanical packaging of Power Inverters, DC-DC converters, Electric power modules, PDUs, LV/MV Switchboard/ Switchgear etc will be preferred. Candidates with strong experience in design of Sheetmetal / Structural design will be preferred. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills is a must. As a highly skilled and versatile freelance Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a new, large-scale, 20-foot center-pole parasol. This project requires a blend of sophisticated industrial design and mechanical engineering to bring a minimalist, architectural vision to life. You will own the entire process from design refinement to creating the final, production-ready manufacturing documents, ensuring both the aesthetic form and the structural integrity of the product are seamlessly fused. Key Responsibilities: Design & Aesthetics: - Refine the existing "Soft Modernism" concept into a detailed 3D CAD model, focusing on high-quality aesthetic surfaces and ergonomic details. - Specify all high-performance materials, colors, and finishes suitable for demanding outdoor environments. - Create photorealistic 3D renderings for key design reviews with the client and creative director. Engineering & Analysis: - Perform comprehensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on the 24-rib, 20-foot diameter structure to validate its integrity against specified wind loads. - Design and engineer a robust telescoping mast, a smooth crank lift mechanism, and potentially a gas-piston self-tensioning system. Manufacturing Documentation: - Create a complete Technical Data Package (TDP), including detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with full Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). - Develop a full Bill of Materials (BOM) and assembly guide.
