Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 1200000 - Rs 2000000 (ie INR 12-20 LPA)

Min Experience: 5 yearsLocation: BangaloreJobType: full-timeAs a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade software products. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to validate functionality, identify defects early, and ensure seamless user experiences. This role demands a strong balance of manual testing expertise, automation capabilities, and performance testing knowledge to support scalable and high-performing applications. You will be responsible for establishing quality benchmarks, improving test processes, and driving a quality-first mindset across the development lifecycle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
Perform comprehensive manual testing across web, mobile, and backend systems to validate functionality, usability, and regression
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and execution efficiency
Execute performance and load testing using JMeter to assess system scalability, stability, and responsiveness
Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution
Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure quality alignment in agile environments
Validate API responses, data integrity, and backend workflows using appropriate testing techniques
Continuously enhance automation frameworks and testing strategies to reduce manual effort
Ensure compliance with quality standards, best practices, and release readiness criteria
Support UAT cycles by coordinating with business stakeholders and validating end-user requirements
Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics for stakeholders

What Makes You a Great Fit

5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance across manual and automated testing
Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
Proven experience in test automation with a solid understanding of frameworks and scripting concepts
Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance, load, and stress testing
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ability to design effective test strategies aligned with business and technical requirements
Experience working with APIs, databases, and backend systems for validation and data testing
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report quality insights
Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and quality excellence
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments
