The role involves developing effective purchasing strategies and overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, including reviewing and processing purchase orders. The candidate will manage a team, coordinate with other departments to assess inventory needs, and ensure timely delivery of quality goods. Building and maintaining strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and service are key responsibilities. The role also requires staying updated with procurement trends and technologies, handling vendor visits, and addressing any issues related to the quality or delivery of purchased items. Overall, it ensures efficient, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop a purchasing strategy
• Review and process purchase order.
• Manage other members of the team.
• Maintain orders of goods purchased and received.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with supplier.
• Build and maintain relationship with vendor.
• Select prospective vendor and negotiates contracts.
• Evaluate vendors based on quality, timelines and price.
• Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
• Researches and evaluates vendor to compare pricing and services.
• Co-ordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventories and determine supply needs.
• Ensure quality of procured items and addresses problem when they arise.
• Keep up with trend in procurement.
• Travel to vendors location.
• Stay current with purchasing technology trend and oversee the purchase and implementation, as necessary.
