The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement of mechanical, electrical, or production-related stores, spares, consumables, and project materials across our plants. This role is critical to ensuring seamless operations, cost optimization, and efficient inventory management. 🎯 Key ResponsibilitiesProcure mechanical, electrical, or production-related consumables, spare parts, MRO items, and project equipment.Float inquiries, obtain quotations, and analyze bids for cost, quality, and delivery.Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure optimal value.Develop and maintain a robust vendor base; identify and onboard new suppliers for critical items.Collaborate closely with the maintenance, production, and project teams to understand technical specifications and timelines.Ensure timely purchase order generation and follow-up to avoid stockouts or project delays.Conduct regular vendor evaluations to monitor performance and compliance with terms.Support indigenization and cost reduction efforts through alternate sourcing and process improvements.Coordinate with finance and stores for GRN (Goods Receipt Note), invoice processing, and payment cycles.Maintain procurement records, track order status, and prepare regular MIS reports. 🧠 Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of mechanical or electrical components used in steel, ferroalloy, and aluminium industries.Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/SAP Ariba), and purchase documentation.Analytical mindset with attention to detail and cost consciousness.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers. ✅ Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering or a related field.2–6 years of relevant experience in procurement in a manufacturing setup.Prior experience in steel, ferroalloy, aluminium, or heavy engineering industry preferred. 💡 Why Join Us?Be part of a high-growth industrial group shaping the future of Indian manufacturing.Gain exposure to large-scale capex and O&M procurement processes.Opportunities for career growth across verticals and functions. 📬 How to ApplyInterested candidates can send their resume to rahul.agarwalla@shakambharigroup.in with the subject line: Application for Purchase Executive – [Your Name]
