Purchase Executive

Job Description: Engineering Purchase Executive Location: Goregaon, Mumbai Industry: Engineering Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years Employment Type: Full-time Qualification: Graduate Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Engineering Purchase Executive to join our procurement/supply chain team. The ideal candidate should have a background in engineering procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships. This role is critical to ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components needed for engineering and production operations. Key Responsibilities: • Manage procurement of engineering components, tools, and raw materials required for machinery manufacturing. • Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing and new suppliers/vendors. • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines to optimize cost and ensure timely availability of materials. • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines. • Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and quotes. • Track inventory levels and coordinate with the store and production departments to ensure material availability. • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. • Coordinate with accounts for timely invoice processing and vendor payments. • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes. • Assist in sourcing and qualifying new vendors as per project or product requirements. Key Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchase role in the engineering industry. • Graduate in any discipline; a background in engineering or supply chain will be a plus. • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.). • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Sound knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors). • Ability to handle multiple procurement projects and prioritize tasks. • Good understanding of technical specifications and components in machinery manufacturing. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Team player with a problem-solving attitude.
