Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Executive Department: Procurement / Purchase Industry: Construction Job Summary: The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring construction materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery to project sites. Key Responsibilities: * Identify and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors for materials and services. * Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, equipment, and services. * Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors. * Ensure timely delivery of materials to various project sites. * Maintain records of goods ordered and received. * Coordinate with the project, accounts, and stores departments to ensure smooth material flow. * Monitor inventory levels and plan material requirements based on project schedules. * Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards. * Handle vendor payments and resolve any discrepancies in invoices. * Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency. Key Skills Required: * Strong negotiation and communication skills * Knowledge of construction materials and equipment * Vendor management and market analysis * Time management and multitasking ability * Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Civil Engineering, or Supply Chain Management * 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement within the construction industry
