Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Executive located in Gurugram. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory, and ensuring that materials are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires close collaboration with the project management and finance teams, as well as maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • B. tech or M. tech Civil Engineering / MBA Marketing.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Procure materials according to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Maintain a database of approved vendors and ensure timely updating.

Purchase Planning & Execution:

  • Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to understand material requirements.
  • Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely availability of materials on-site.
  • Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase requests proactively.

Vendor Management:

  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Resolve supplier issues, delays, or discrepancies efficiently.

Cost Control & Documentation:

  • Ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality.
  • Maintain proper records of purchase orders, invoices, and material receipts.
  • Support budget preparation and cost tracking for projects.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Verify the quality of incoming materials and raise non-conformance reports when required.
