About the Role:

We are hiring a Purchase Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain.

This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services to support production and business operations. You’ll be responsible for vendor management, sourcing strategies, negotiation, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze the company’s material and service requirements
• Source and evaluate new suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Maintain accurate vendor and product data in the ERP system
• Obtain quotations, evaluate bids, and process purchase orders
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Track inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs accordingly
• Coordinate with internal teams to align purchases with production requirements
• Monitor supplier performance and report on quality, cost, and delivery metrics
• Ensure timely recording and submission of invoices
• Prepare and present regular reports on market trends and procurement insights
• Manage returns, rejections, and corrective actions with vendors
• Participate in vendor meetings, trade fairs, and purchasing-related conferences

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in purchase/procurement/supply chain (Preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment)
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented and organized mindset
