Job Summary:

The Purchase Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the availability of quality materials and components at optimal cost. You will support the procurement process, handle vendor interactions, and coordinate with internal teams to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure timely procurement of quality materials and services.
• Request and compare quotations, perform cost analysis, and negotiate pricing and payment terms.
• Prepare purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor vendor performance.
• Coordinate with the design and production teams to understand technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including pricing, delivery timelines, and vendor performance.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and alternative vendor sourcing to improve efficiency.
• Ensure timely inventory replenishment while avoiding excess stock.
• Assist in the implementation of procurement policies and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain in a manufacturing/engineering setup.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and material specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
