Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs), calls to vendors, technical specs for chemical process equipment (e.g., reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, pumps, agitators, instrumentation).
Evaluate vendor proposals on technical, commercial, and quality grounds.
Compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment terms etc.
Develop and maintain vendor database: conduct vendor visits, assessments, audits.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure equipment conforms to process requirements, safety, material compatibility, etc.
Place purchase orders, manage contracts, ensure compliance with standards, regulations, safety and environmental norms.
Monitor & track order status, follow up on delivery, inspections, testing, documentation, certified vendors.
Manage imported & indigenous procurement: customs, import duties, shipping, transportation, clearance.
Work towards cost savings, value engineering, and continual improvement of procurement process.
Maintain records and documentation: PO’s, quality documents (e.g. Material Test Certificates, ITPs), vendor correspondence.
Ensure inventory/scheduling alignment with project requirements and plant maintenance needs.
Risk analysis: identify procurement risks (vendor reliability, delivery delays, cost escalations) and mitigate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
