Job Description

Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning:
Develop and execute procurement strategies for electronic components and materials.
Forecast material requirements based on production schedules and inventory levels.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure best value procurement.
Technical Evaluation:
Review and interpret technical drawings/specifications to ensure correct component sourcing.
Collaborate with design, R&D, and quality teams to validate component suitability.
Order Processing:
Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Track and manage PO status, lead times, and delays.
Cost Optimization:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction through alternate sourcing or bulk procurement.
Benchmark supplier prices and maintain competitive pricing strategies.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts.
ERP & Reporting:
Work with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) for procurement and inventory tracking.
Generate procurement reports for management analysis.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of electronic components (e.g., semiconductors, PCBs, connectors, passive components).
Familiarity with BOMs, technical datasheets, and sourcing platforms.
Proficiency in ERP tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
