Job Title: Publications & Communications Manager (Toy Times)

Job Summary

We are looking for an organised and self-driven Publications & Communications Manager


Key Responsibilities


1. Editorial & Production Management

  • Timeline Management:

    Create and enforce a strict editorial calendar to ensure the

    monthly e-bulletin

    and

    quarterly print magazine

    are released on schedule.
  • coordination:

    Liaise with MC members, industry experts, and writers to collect articles and content.
  • Vendor Management:

    Coordinate with the graphic designer for layout and the printing press to ensure high-quality production within budget.
  • Quality Control:

    Proofread all content to ensure accuracy and professional standards before publication.


2. Digital Distribution (E-Bulletin)

  • Campaign Execution:

    Curate and release the monthly e-bulletin using email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Brevo).
  • Database Management:

    Maintain and update the subscriber email list to ensure the newsletter reaches all respective parties (members, government officials, etc.).
  • Analytics:

    Track open rates and engagement to report back to the committee on reader interest.


3. Advertising & Revenue Operations

  • Ad Solicitation:

    Work with the association team members and managing committee to get advertisements from members and non-members. Keep a track and push the team members to make the necessary collection targets.
  • Asset Management:

    Collect high-resolution ad creatives from clients and ensure they meet print specs.


4. Logistics & Member Engagement

  • Distribution:

    Oversee the courier and dispatch process to ensure physical copies reach members.
  • Member Integration:

    Ensure every issue includes the membership form and QR codes to drive association growth.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:

    2–4 years in editorial coordination, marketing communications, or project management.
  • Organisation:

    Strong project management skills; ability to chase deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders (printers, designers, committee members).
  • Communication:

    Excellent written English for proofreading and professional verbal communication for chasing payments and ads.
  • Tech Proficiency:

  • Experience with Email Marketing Tools

    (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of design formats (PDF, AI, JPEG) to communicate with designers.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for tracking payments and distribution lists.
  • Preferred Education:

    Graduate in

    Mass Communication, English, Journalism, Marketing, or Business Administration

    .


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timeliness:

    100% on-time release of the e-bulletin (monthly) and print magazine (quarterly).
  • Revenue:

    Successful Follow up with the responsible person for collection of artwork and revenue.
  • Accuracy:

    Zero critical errors in print (names, dates, contact info).
