Air pollution takes more than 7 Million lives globally every single year. Over 5% of premature children death occur due to air pollution in developing countries. Everyone has relied on governments or experts to solve the problem, but most solutions up until today have either been too expensive or too ineffective. Praan is an attempt at making the future cleaner, healthier, and safer for the generations to come. As a Proposal Engineer at Praan, you will be instrumental in developing and delivering technical proposals that align with both customer requirements and business objectives. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and sales teams, you’ll ensure that proposals are technically sound and commercially viable. This role requires expertise in CAD design, strong analytical skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complex engineering concepts. Your ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth and success. Job Description Create comprehensive technical proposals, including CAD drawings, system layouts, and technical specifications, in response to customer requests and project requirements Design and create technical solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal capabilities Work closely with the business development and sales teams to understand client needs and translate them into comprehensive technical proposals Visit customer sites with Sales team where necessary to understand the problems in detail to understand customer problems clearly Summarize dust sample tests and generate feasibility reports for the industrial customers. Work closely with engineering teams to gather the necessary technical inputs, ensuring proposals reflect the latest technical capabilities and innovations Conduct technical feasibility studies and cost estimates to determine the viability of proposed solutions Utilize Python for data analysis, simulation, and optimization within proposals to showcase technical and performance aspects of our solutions Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical reports, design specifications, and system overviews Identify opportunities to streamline the proposal process and improve the quality and efficiency of submissions Coordinate the flow of information between internal teams and clients, ensuring that deadlines are met and all technical aspects are well understood Skill Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience 2-4 years of experience in a proposal engineering role or similar capacity within a technical environment Strong experience in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for creating detailed designs and drawings Proficiency in Python for technical calculations, data analysis, and system simulations Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in mechanical, electrical, and system integration Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly and persuasively Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative solutions and proposals Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with product, engineering, and sales teams Good to Have Experience in developing proposals for industrial systems, air purification, or HVAC-related projects Familiarity with manufacturing processes, supply chain management, or product development Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment Praan is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, religion, caste, gender, disability or any other criteria.
