As a Project Manager at Wednesday, you’ll lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software — on time and with craft. You’ll work with startups and enterprises alike, managing fast-paced projects that require clarity, urgency, and rigor.

This isn’t a passive coordination role. You’ll need to deeply understand the product, rally the team around outcomes, and manage client relationships with confidence. From sprint planning to delivery reviews, you’ll ensure everyone is aligned, productive, and focused on impact.

You’ll be the heartbeat of the project — keeping things moving, clearing roadblocks, and setting the tone for high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Delivery

• Own the delivery of client projects from kickoff through launch.
• Maintain detailed project plans, sprint boards, and timelines.
• Anticipate risks and course-correct early to avoid surprises.

Agile Leadership

• Facilitate agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, retros, and demos.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and design leads to align on priorities and unblock progress.
• Track velocity, sprint commitments, and delivery health using tools like JIRA.

Client Communication

• Set clear expectations with clients around scope, timelines, and trade-offs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients — building trust through responsiveness and proactive communication.
• Present project updates, flag risks, and guide client decisions when necessary.

Team Coordination & Culture

• Create a productive, focused, and accountable team environment.
• Keep the team motivated and aligned toward shared goals.
• Identify process improvements and bring structure to ambiguity.

Quality & Craft

• Test critical features and advocate for the end user.
• Ensure deliverables meet both functional and aesthetic standards.
• Support the team in making trade-offs that preserve long-term product quality.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of project management experience in software development, preferably in a client-facing or digital services environment.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proven experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — you’re clear, concise, and proactive.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Notion, Slack, and Figma.
• A bias for action, an eye for detail, and a relentless focus on delivery.
