About the Role:

IT Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Operations Management

• Oversee end-to-end project delivery related to

  Reconciliation and Financial Systems

  within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Prepare, review, and maintain

  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  for all project activities and daily BAU operations.
• Monitor daily reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
• Validate reconciliation reports and porting files generated from various systems (Core Banking, Payment Gateway, Switches, etc.).
• Handle and resolve issues escalated from

  L1, L2, and L3 support teams

  in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external

  Audit, VA, and AppSec

  requirements.
• Implement and manage effective change control, risk management, and project documentation processes.
• Ensure zero operational escalation to the central (Mumbai) team through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding project updates, issue resolutions, and performance discussions.
• Collaborate with client-side teams for requirement gathering, testing, implementation, and post-deployment reviews.
• Manage client expectations through regular status reports, review meetings, and transparent communication.
• Support new client onboarding or reconciliation migrations, ensuring seamless project transitions.
  

Team & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise project teams including business analysts, developers, and support staff.
• Drive

  resource planning

  , recruitment, onboarding, and team skill enhancement initiatives.
• Promote a performance-driven culture with accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Foster coordination between onsite and offshore teams ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Strong understanding of

  Reconciliation Systems, GL Mapping, and Financial Statement Validation.

• Good command over

  SQL / Oracle database

  concepts for report validation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools

  for report preparation and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of

  payment systems, switches, NEFT/RTGS/IMPS/UPI settlements, CBS interfaces, and exception handling.

• Ability to analyze and improve existing reconciliation processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Project Management:

  Proven ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously in the BFSI domain.

• Reconciliation Expertise:

  In-depth understanding of financial data flow, GL validation, and transaction settlement processes.

• Leadership & Decision-Making:

  Strong people management skills with the ability to guide teams and make informed decisions.

• Communication:

  Excellent verbal and written communication with strong documentation and presentation skills.

• Analytical Thinking:

  Meticulous approach to ensure precision in data validation and financial records.

• Problem-Solving:

  Strong troubleshooting capabilities for L1L3 incidents and performance bottlenecks.

• Compliance Awareness:

  Understanding of audit standards, data privacy, and application security frameworks.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile Scrum Master
• ITIL Foundation
• Certification in Reconciliation or Financial Systems (added advantage)
