Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our website development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, web development, team leadership and digital marketing initiatives. They will be responsible for overseeing the entire website development and website management process, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate needs to have a very strong background in WordPress and Shopify as that’s the primary technologies we work with and have a keen interest in digital marketing.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Develop detailed project plans, defining project scope, objectives, tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Provide financial reports and forecasts as needed.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Utilize digital marketing analytics tools to measure the success of campaigns and provide actionable insights to improve performanceLead and manage the team of web developers, UI/UX, graphic designers and content writers in creating and maintaining WordPress websites, Shopify stores and other other corporate sites.
  • Responsible for initiating, planning and executing WordPress website development projects from inception to completion.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans. Proactively address any issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.

Client Servicing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their project requirements are understood and effectively communicated to the project team.
  • Manage client expectations and provide regular updates on project progress.Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that website development projects meet design, functionality, and performance standards.
  • Continuously assess and enhance client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development and digital marketing to ensure our services remain cutting-edge.

Sales

  • Be responsible for growing and managing the revenue for the vertical. Develop and create opportunities for upselling additional services to clients.
  • The candidate should be able to build effective upsell strategies to drive revenue. They must be able to –
  • Upsell premium plugins to introduce new features in a website
  • Introduce Maintenance Services to a client post website completion
  • Pitch Hosting Services
  • Upsell content writing services for blogs, new pages etc.
  • Upsell graphic designing services for website, marketing material etc.
  • Pitch new technology features, additional web pages, landing pages, marketing plugins, operational plugins, etc for improving client websites and growing traffic and revenue.

Digital Marketing Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to execute effective digital marketing strategies on client websites
  • Coordinate with a team such as including SEO, content marketing, landing pages, conversion rate optimisation, etc.to execute initiatives.
  • Analyze data and suggest ways to improve user experience of client websites. ,.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successful website development projects.
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing website development projects, including e-commerce, corporate websites, and web applications.
