Department Description
Data Distribution and Reporting is responsible to acquire data of Retail customers, process it as per data quality and make it available through different services for consumers of the data, like web portals. It also generates the different types of customer documents. It supports the business across geographies, like UK, Europe and Asia.Primary technologies used in these applications are: Informatica, Oracle, Java, Python, OBIEE and UNIX
Purpose of your role
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced project leader to be part of Retail Technology. The role will be responsible to manage several projects sized small to medium to large. Management includes the ownership for end to end delivery, stakeholder management, status reporting, team management, creating, and tracking and managing the delivery plan, setting up governance for the delivery practices, release management etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the couple of projects, manage the business stakeholders and be completely accountable for its all aspects
- Interact with the project stakeholders, and manage their expectation
- Develop/review project plan consisting of activities plan and milestones, quality management plan, communication plan, resource management plan, risk management plan
- Ensure that the overall plan is kept updated and project activities are undertaken and completed as per project milestones
- Ensure that application documentation is as per defined standards
- Ensure that project execution processes are defined and implemented for efficiency and optimum resource utilization
- Suggest improvements in system development process / application areas
- Provide guidance to team members and ensure continuous skill development by proactively identifying training needs, and organizing training
- Interact with third-party to agree project strategy and plan, product roadmap
Experience And Qualifications Required
- Overall 8-10 years of relevant industry experience and at least 4-5 years of experience in leading projects.
- B.E. / B. Tech. / M.C.A.
Essential Skills
- Experience in managing software development using Agile or Iterative life-cycle methodology. Should have played role of a SCRUM master
- Experience of delivery medium and large sized projects
- Understanding of deliverables and review mechanism in place
- Experience of providing global systems solutions & knowledge of internationalisation aspects
- Experience of working with multi-cultural teams in a geographically diverse environment
- Understanding of Configuration Management processes
- Good knowledge and experience in at least one Quality management models
- Experience or understanding of high security reviews, DRs etc so that can plan around the same
- Excellent communication skills to interact with higher management and business users across UK and whole Europe
Desired Skills
- Exposure to take 3rd party support.
- Strong interest in Technology and its applications
- Prince 2 Certified / PMP Certified is good to have.
- Design and develop project proposals, including budgets and critical path.
- Experience of working with vendor products and resources
