Project Lead

As a PowerBuilder Project Lead in this role, you will be leading a team of 3-5 developers. Your team's primary focus will be on developing and maintaining client/server systems using object-oriented features. Your responsibilities will encompass the full software development life cycle, which includes design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications within an Object-Oriented Client Server Environment. Specifically, you will be managing the support of one or more PowerBuilder applications within the Retail industry. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing, deploying, and converting solutions across various technologies as required. Your role will also involve providing technical support and troubleshooting to address issues in a timely manner. Translating end user requirements into application solutions, developing application software components to meet current needs, and engaging with customers to address production issues will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Delivering high-quality products and services in a timely manner is essential. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 7 years of experience with PowerBuilder, proficiency with PFC and PB 8.5 & above, and 4-6 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and above. A strong understanding of Triggers, Stored Procedures, and Performance Tuning is necessary. Your background should also include Full Life Cycle development experience, solid object-oriented programming and design skills, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience with .Net and Java would be advantageous. The ability to work independently, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a self-driven, team-oriented approach are crucial for success in this role.,
