Job Title
Project EngineerThis role is responsible for every aspect of the project, including leading a team capable of meeting or exceeding client expectations for their vision. Successful project managers assemble and manage these individuals to make a fine-tuned project machine.
About the Role:
- Project Execution (Civil & PEB):
- Oversee execution of all civil and PEB works including site grading, roads, drainage, cable trenches, equipment foundations, and structure erection.
- Supervise installation of PEB structures such as inverter/control rooms and utility buildings.
- Coordination and Supervision:
- Coordinate with structural designers, PEB vendors, and site teams for timely material delivery and erection.
- Monitor subcontractors and ensure compliance with technical specifications and project drawings.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure quality control in civil and structural works as per design and project specifications.
- Enforce site safety standards and participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Planning and Reporting:
- Track daily work progress and update project schedules accordingly.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports, highlight delays or issues, and suggest corrective measures.
- Technical Support:
- Review technical drawings and identify discrepancies or potential clashes on site.
- Provide technical inputs during civil/PEB design reviews and construction phases.
- Documentation & Handover:
- Maintain project documentation, test reports, and quality checklists.
- Assist in final project handover and site demobilization.
About You
- Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in civil construction
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (B.E./B.Tech)
- Strong knowledge of PEB structures, equipment foundations, site development, and infrastructure works
- Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and MS Office tools
- Familiar with construction standards, civil codes, and material specifications
- Skilled in site supervision, technical drawing review, and vendor/subcontractor coordination
- Experience in quality control, safety compliance, and project documentation
- Effective in problem-solving, team communication, and progress reporting
- Willing to work at remote solar project sites and adaptable to field conditions
