Position Overview The Production Supervisor – Socketing Machine Division will be responsible for managing end-to-end production activities for socketing machines, from fabrication to final assembly. This includes overseeing welding, shot blasting, painting, sheet metal work, mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic assembly, and machining operations. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Execution Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities in fabrication, machining, assembly, and finishing. Allocate manpower and resources across welding, CNC machining, milling, lathe, drilling, tapping, shot blasting, and painting operations. Monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery against the production plan. Quality & Process Control Ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Coordinate with the Quality Control team for in-process and final inspections. Implement process improvements to reduce rework, waste, and cycle time. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and mentor a team of operators, welders, machinists, and assembly technicians. Work closely with stores, design, and procurement to ensure material availability. Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime of machines and equipment. Safety & Compliance Enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols on the shop floor. Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and submit daily/weekly production reports. Maintain production records for ISO/AS9100 audits and internal reviews. Required QualificationsDiploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a heavy fabrication/machining/assembly setup. Strong knowledge of welding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and hydraulic/pneumatic assemblies. Familiarity with hydraulic circuits, pneumatic systems, and machine assembly processes. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T.
