About the Role

Trainee PPC Engineer

We are looking for freshers and early-career professionals (0–2 years) in Mechanical or Production Engineering to join our Production Planning and Control team. This role provides exposure to the end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle—from sales order execution and procurement planning to vendor management, assembly, testing, and dispatch. Candidates must be willing to travel locally to vendors (two-wheeler required).

Key Responsibilities

Execute sales orders to final dispatch, ensuring timelines and quality.

Support monthly material requirement planning, outsourcing planning, and assembly/testing schedules.

Coordinate with the Engineering team for BOM (Bill of Materials).

Arrange and track materials required for assembly as per BOM.

Assist in assembly and testing of actuators as per General Arrangement Drawings (GAD).

Prepare demand forecasts and replenishment plans to meet production targets.

Ensure availability of raw materials and consumables as per production schedules.

Handle vendor management: selection, vendor capability assessment, negotiation, and relationship management.

Manage procurement & supply chain activities for castings, bars, pipes, fittings, hardware, actuator parts, tag plates, springs, gaskets, etc.

Negotiate component costing, delivery terms, and payment terms with vendors.

Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and consignment movement; track logistics and dispatch.

Follow-up with Finance for vendor payment settlements.

Work closely with the quality team to ensure vendor deliverables meet technical requirements.

Support leadership in production, procurement, and supply chain management for assigned projects.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering from a reputed institute.

Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience in Production Planning & Control / Procurement / Supply Chain Management are welcome to apply.

Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 processes.

Awareness of castings, machining, and surface treatment processes.

Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and vendor management practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication (written & spoken) and presentation skills.

Knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.

Ability to assess vendor machining capabilities and manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with project management tools, documentation, and reporting.

Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
