Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

Credence Automation and Control Systems is seeking passionate and driven individuals from Mechanical, CAD-CAM, or Mechatronics backgrounds with a solid foundation in engineering and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge actuator (Automation) design and development.

As part of our Product Development – Actuator Division, you’ll be involved in the entire design lifecycle—from concept, prototyping, and simulation to manufacturing and certification.

This is a rare opportunity to work on patented, high-performance actuator systems in an innovative and multidisciplinary environment, shaping the future of actuator technology across diverse industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop actuator components and assemblies using SolidWorks.

Implement CAD automation, configuration management, and parametric modelling techniques.

Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and mechanical simulation for reliable designs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrating mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Support design validation, prepare technical documentation, and assist in product presentations.

Participate in prototyping and testing to refine product functionality and manufacturability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / CAD-CAM / Mechatronics Engineering.

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering fundamentals, and systems thinking.

Hands-on experience with SolidWorks is highly preferred.

Understanding of:

o 3D part and assembly modelling

o Configuration management

o CAD automation using design tables, macros, or APIs

o Simulation and application of GD&T

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Good aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.

Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics is greatly preferred.

Preferred Before Joining (If selected)

Completion of SolidWorks and GD&T training.

Familiarity with Solid works Configurations Management.
