Job Description

  • Production Management
  • Lead and manage end-to-end production activities for Bias and TBR tyre lines.
  • Ensure production targets (volume, quality, cost, delivery) are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics and take corrective actions where required.
  • Coordinate with planning and inventory teams to ensure smooth raw material and component availability.
  • Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) initiatives - Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, etc.
  • Improve machine utilization, reduce cycle time, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Minimize waste and ensure efficient resource utilization (manpower, energy, materials).
  • Quality Assurance
  • Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure consistent quality output and compliance with specifications.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF 16949, BIS, DOT, ECE, and other applicable standards.
  • People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
  • Evaluate and manage workforce requirements; coordinate training and skill development.
  • Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and drive initiatives to create a zero-incident culture.
  • Promote 5S and good housekeeping practices on the shop floor.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with maintenance, quality, R&D, HR, and supply chain departments.
  • Participate in new product development (NPD) trials and industrialization.
Key B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Rubber Technology, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM 15+ years of experience in tyre manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of Bias and TBR tyre production processes including:
  • Mixing
  • Component preparation
  • Building (manual/automatic)
  • Curing
  • Inspection and finishing

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making and analytical ability.
  • Expertise in production planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and Industry 4.0 tools is a plus.
