Job Description

Position: Machine Assembly Engineer / Production Engineer

Department: Production / Assembly
Industry: Machine Manufacturing (Band Saw & Circular Saw Machines)
Reports To: Production Manager / Works Manager
Experience: 5 to 10 Years
Salary: ₹40,000 per month (Negotiable as per competency)

Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering /
• B.Sc. (Mechanical) /
• B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical or relevant discipline)

Job Purpose:

To ensure planned, controlled, and documented assembly and production of band saw and circular saw machines in compliance with approved drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Production & Assembly Control

• Execute and supervise machine assembly as per approved drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Ensure process control at all assembly stages to meet defined quality standards.
• Verify correct usage of calibrated tools and approved equipment during assembly.

2. Production Planning & Monitoring

• Plan daily and monthly production activities in line with delivery commitments.
• Monitor production output, cycle time, and resource utilization.
• Ensure deviations from the plan are documented and corrective actions are implemented.

3. Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Conduct and support in-process inspections as per inspection and test plans (ITP).
• Ensure non-conforming products are identified, segregated, and reported.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

4. Documentation & Records Control

• Maintain and update production records such as:
• Assembly checklists
• Inspection reports
• Production logs
• Trial & testing records
• Ensure documents and records are maintained as per document control procedures.

5. Audit & Compliance Support

• Actively participate in internal, external, and customer audits.
• Ensure corrective actions from audit observations are implemented within defined timelines.
• Support management during surveillance and certification audits.

6. Safety, 5S & Workplace Discipline

• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
• Implement and sustain 5S practices on the shop floor.
• Report unsafe conditions and support corrective measures.

7. Team Supervision & Competency

• Supervise assembly technicians and shop-floor manpower.
• Provide job-related training to ensure competency as per assigned roles.
• Support skill development and cross-training initiatives.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 process approach
• Basic awareness of calibration, quality tools, and inspection methods

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in machine manufacturing / capital equipment industry.
• Prior exposure to ISO-certified manufacturing environments preferred.
• Hands-on experience in band saw, circular saw, or similar industrial machinery is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
