Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily production activities to meet targets for output, quality, and delivery

• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and tools

• Implement and improve production processes to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time

• Monitor process parameters and troubleshoot production issues in real time

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, control plans, and work instructions

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Supply Chain teams for smooth operations

• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Analyze production data, prepare reports, and present performance metrics to management

• Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory requirements, and company policies

• Assist in new product development, trials, and process validation

• Train and guide operators and supervisors on process and quality requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial Engineering

• 2-5 years of experience in automobile parts manufacturing (for junior roles, freshers may be considered)

• Experience with machining, assembly, stamping, casting, or forging processes preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning

• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO/IATF 16949

• Understanding of SPC, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and control plans

• Problem-solving skills using tools like 7 QC tools, Root Cause Analysis, and PDCA

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Ability to work in shifts and handle shop-floor challenges

• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic production reporting
