Production Engineer

Job Purpose

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production of high-quality play systems, meeting safety standards, timelines, and cost objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution

• Plan and monitor daily production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and stores teams to ensure material availability.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and resources.

Process & Quality Control

• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Identify process gaps and suggest continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety norms and statutory regulations.
• Promote safe working practices on the shop floor.
• Conduct regular safety and quality audits.

Cost & Efficiency Management

• Minimize wastage and improve productivity through process optimization.
• Monitor production costs and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain production records and MIS reports.

Team Coordination

• Supervise shop floor technicians and workers.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to production staff.
• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdown prevention and timely repairs.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production logs, work instructions, and quality checklists.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (metal, plastic, fabrication preferred).
• Understanding of drawings, BOMs, and production layouts.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and safety standards.

Behavioral Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Experience in play equipment, furniture, fabrication, or engineering products is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
