Objective: We are looking for a results-driven Product validation engineer with experience in testing and qualifying inverter, solar, and battery-based backup products. The candidate will be responsible for validating the design, performance, safety, reliability, and life cycle testing of inverter-based applications such as domestic inverters, UPS, power backup solutions, grid-tied and hybrid inverters with a particular focus on power electronics and control circuits. Job Description: 1. Develop and execute validation plans (DVP&R) for inverters, UPS, and solar products. 2. Test performance under varying electrical, loading, thermal, and target application conditions. 3. Validate solar and battery charging algorithms, start/stop and change over behaviour, fault protections, and performance under different operating modes. 4. Validate power and control PCBs for electrical and thermal performance, EMI/EMC, and firmware behaviour. 5. Conduct simulations for different fault injection to verify robustness of control logic. 6. Design and conduct accelerated life testing to assess durability, wear, and power/control circuit endurance. 7. Apply HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), thermal cycling, and endurance runs simulating real-world use cases. 8. Conduct safety testing in accordance with applicable standards (IEC, BIS, IS). 9. Support certification testing (BIS, CE, etc.) for electrical safety, thermal safety. 10. Identify failure modes using DFMEA / FMEA, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. 11.Design and maintain automated test setups including data acquisition, electronic loads, power analysers, and thermal chambers. 12. Maintain high accuracy in instrumentation - power analysers, data loggers, thermal cameras, etc. 13. Automate test processes for repetitive life and endurance testing. 14. Document test plans, protocols, results, and deviations. 15. Prepare detailed validation reports and support cross-functional teams with findings and recommendations. 16. Maintain traceability and compliance documentation aligned with quality management systems. Qualification: 1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic Engineering. 2. 5–10 years of experience in product validation and reliability testing of inverter, solar inverter, hybrid inverter and different types of batteries. Must Have Skills: 1. Hands-on experience with power electronics, inverter circuits, embedded system and firmware validation. 2. Proficient in using lab instruments – oscilloscopes, power meters, DAQs, grid simulator and solar simulators, power supply, temperature probes, thermal imagers etc. 3. Experience with low and high frequency-based inverter circuits, PWM, MPPT, SMPS circuits. 4. Strong understanding of different solar panel technologies and their characteristics. 5. Strong understanding of different battery chemistries (lead acid, lithium-ion, sodium ion) and their behaviour in different test conditions. 6. Experience with high-voltage or high-power systems (above 5 kW). 7. Proficiency in MS Office. Desirable Skills: 1. Working knowledge of reliability prediction tools and techniques. 2. Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance testing. 3. Test automation techniques, data analysis. 4. Certification in Reliability Engineering. 5. Statistical reliability analysis (Weibull, Arrhenius) to estimate MTBF and predict failures. Show more Show less
