Job
Description
As a Product Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of inverter, solar, and battery-based backup products. Your role will involve developing validation plans, conducting various tests, and supporting certification processes. Here is a detailed breakdown of your key responsibilities and the qualifications required for this position: **Role Overview:** You will play a crucial role in validating the design, performance, safety, reliability, and life cycle testing of inverter-based applications. This includes domestic inverters, UPS, power backup solutions, grid-tied, and hybrid inverters with a focus on power electronics and control circuits. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute validation plans (DVP&R) for inverters, UPS, and solar products. - Test performance under varying electrical, loading, thermal, and target application conditions. - Validate solar and battery charging algorithms, start/stop behavior, fault protections, and performance under different operating modes. - Validate power and control PCBs for electrical and thermal performance, EMI/EMC, and firmware behavior. - Conduct simulations for different fault injections to verify the robustness of control logic. - Design and conduct accelerated life testing to assess durability, wear, and power/control circuit endurance. - Apply HALT, thermal cycling, and endurance runs simulating real-world use cases. - Conduct safety testing in accordance with applicable standards (IEC, BIS, IS). - Support certification testing for electrical safety, thermal safety. - Identify failure modes using DFMEA / FMEA and ensure corrective actions are implemented. - Design and maintain automated test setups including data acquisition, electronic loads, power analyzers, and thermal chambers. - Maintain high accuracy in instrumentation - power analyzers, data loggers, thermal cameras, etc. - Automate test processes for repetitive life and endurance testing. - Document test plans, protocols, results, and deviations. - Prepare detailed validation reports and support cross-functional teams with findings and recommendations. - Maintain traceability and compliance documentation aligned with quality management systems. **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. - 5-10 years of experience in product validation and reliability testing of inverters, solar inverters, hybrid inverters, and different types of batteries. **Additional Details:** The company values hands-on experience with power electronics, inverter circuits, embedded system, and firmware validation. Proficiency in using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, power meters, DAQs, grid simulator, and solar simulators is highly desirable. Experience with different solar panel technologies, battery chemistries, and high-voltage systems is essential for this role. Certification in Reliability Engineering and knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance testing are considered advantageous. This comprehensive role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering, experience in product validation, and a hands-on approach to testing and certification processes. If you possess the necessary qualifications and skills, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our dynamic team.,
