Product Manager - Rural Business Banking

Job Purpose
The role entails facilitating the product, process, and policy framework. Work closely with all relevant stakeholders, Business, Risk, U/w, Ops, Collections, Compliance, IT, etc. while designing new product, modification of existing program, digitizing the process, simplifying the Processes, Aligning the policy with market requirement without compromising on the risk and compliance. Creating business-friendly processes to ease doing business.Constant engagement with frontend team for taking feedback and suggestions for improving the products suits, processes, and policies. Imparting training for front end team. Product & Process knowledge sharing with business team and branch team. Realtime support to business team for providing clarity on products, policy, and processes. Role bearer will work in tandem with sales team for targeted sourcing, providing right amount of handholding to ensure that business team can deliver the superior outcome. Role bearers also need to design and monitor the commercial deviation metric. Monitor the portfolio health, profitability, cost, resource activation and productivity, channel engagement, etc.
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designing new products &/or processes (from conceptualization to launch and subsequent monitoring). Evolving existing products / process, addressing gaps, and taking corrective measures
- Evaluating performance of all products on various parameters, like geo penetration, pricing, early delinquency, profitability. Understand the reason for inconsistency, problem and take corrective action.
- Competition benchmarking, keeping track of market trends and peer offerings.
- Ensure to impart regular training to front end team including initial onboarding kit.
- Monitoring the sourcing and portfolio pricing trends. Highlight the areas where pricing is declining and engage with concerned team for taking feedback.
- Constant monitoring the entire portfolio – timely renewals, timely closure of covenants & deferrals, churning level in the account, servicing of dues.
- Separate and detailed monitoring to be ensured for newly onboarded accounts.
- Monitoring the inventory flow, conversion rates and TAT
- Monitoring the resource level Activation and productivity
- Monitor the PSL classification. Work on the cases classified as NPSL for possible coverage in PSL.
- Preparation of business budgets, manpower plan in consultation with Business Head
- Own and monitor the P&L for the business and take necessary measures for revenue amplification and cost reduction.
- Work on digital solutions to further simplify the process & improve the TAT.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Contributing to product knowledge by sharing competitor data and positive process
- Providing support for development of new products for existing and new customer segments.
Managerial And Leadership Responsibilities
- Building collaborative work culture between branch, assets team and support structure to enable front line teams.
- Build, Grow and Nurture the team of Relationship Managers of the Region
Education Qualification
Graduation: AnyPost-graduation: MBAProfessional Qualification/Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
