Reports To: Head of digital platform – NICMAR Online

Job Purpose

The Product Associate will play a critical role in building, managing, and scaling NICMAR Online’s digital learning ecosystem. This role blends product management, platform ownership, and hands-on technical understanding to ensure the successful delivery and operation of NICMAR’s LMS, CRM, website, payment systems, and integrated applications.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Platform Ownership

• Support end-to-end ownership of NICMAR Online’s digital products including LMS, CRM, website, learner journey tools, assessments, and payment systems.

• Manage platform configurations, workflows, and feature rollouts in coordination with tech and operations teams.

• Ensure platform stability, usability, and readiness for academic and operational use.

Product Requirements & Documentation

• Gather requirements from academics, operations, marketing, placements, and leadership.

• Translate requirements into Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

• Maintain product documentation, feature backlogs, and release notes.

Technical Collaboration & Development Support

• Collaborate with developers on frontend, backend, and integration-related tasks.

• Support API-based integrations across LMS, CRM, website, and payment gateways.

• Participate in UAT by validating workflows and ensuring release quality.

Vendor & Application Evaluation

• Research, evaluate, and compare EdTech platforms and SaaS tools.

• Coordinate onboarding, integration, and ongoing management of vendors.

• Act as the primary product point of contact for external partners.

Product Operations & Quality

• Track bugs, enhancements, and change requests.

• Monitor platform performance and user feedback.

• Support smooth launches, upgrades, and feature releases.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely delivery of PRDs, feature requirements, and documentation. (5%)

• Successful onboarding and stable operation of LMS, CRM, and integrated platforms. (20%)

• Reduction in recurring platform issues and improvement in release quality. (15%)

• Effectiveness of vendor evaluations and platform onboarding decisions. (10%)

• User satisfaction scores and qualitative feedback from students and internal teams. (20%)

Job Specification

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or related fields.

• Product Management

Core Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of digital products, LMS platforms, and CRM systems.

• Ability to write PRDs and functional documentation.

• Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, CMS, and payment gateways.

• Comfort working in cross-functional agile teams.

Desirable Experience

• 3–4 years in product, business analysis, platform operations, or technical roles.

• Exposure to online education platforms or SaaS environments.

Other Desired Qualities

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ownership mindset and attention to detail.

• Interest in digital learning and scalable platforms.

Role Summary

The Product Associate is a foundational member of the NICMAR Online product team, responsible for ensuring that digital learning platforms operate effectively, evolve continuously, and meet the needs of learners, faculty, and internal stakeholders. This role serves as a bridge between business, academics, technology, and vendors, with a clear growth path into a full Product Manager role.
