Job Description

JOB PROFILE

Procurement and expediting of Electrical parts for Rooftop, C&I, SME andRural Solar segment involving Inverter, Busduct/cables, SCB/SMB, Transformer, NFIPS, Transmission line, Switchyard, Meters, SCADA, Weather monitoring system, PPC, PE Modelling, Fire Detection system, MC4 connectors, Street lighting, Earthing material, UPS, CCTV, VFD based devices and Battery energy storage system

Supporting Business and Engineering team during Pre-bid stage by arranging/working out /vetting cost of electrical parts

Development of new supplier in every region to help cater to growing business demand

Developing strong relationships at the senior level of all vendors

Reading SLD/Drawings/Specifications and preparing ‘Should be Costing/Zero Based Costing’ for negotiation with suppliers

Leading the RFQ preparation and its contractual/commercial documents, Techno-commercial Bid management and conducting Reverse Auction/ Manual Negotiation.

Responsible for expediting all post PO award activities like commercial milestones, proto/engineering approvals, tracking of raw material/bought out materials ordering and supply, manufacturing, inspection, shipment and delivery, in accordance to the PO and Project requirements

Coordinate with project planning and project for delivery timeline requirements, and to ensure on-time deliveries to site

Attend supplier review meetings-either onsite or virtual, to ensure delivery within stated lead times

Ensure on time Good Receipt (GRN) and payments for received goods thru internal cross functional coordination

Responsible for cost reduction initiatives & supplier relationship management


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Minimum qualifications: B-Tech/ BE- Electrical/Electronics with 10-15 years of experience in power sector electrical parts procurement

Should have good analytical capability (comfort with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint), Knowledge of SAP is desirable

Good communication skills, result oriented, ability to manage conflicting priorities, autonomous and team management

Sound commercial knowledge. Experience of having negotiated large contracts would be an advantage
